Hope for the future

Before the £5k GAS grant, Hope for the Future (HFTF) was largely a training organisation and local events were not a major part of the organisation’s strategy, nor were they funded as part of HFTF’s work.

The grant enabled Hope for the Future to organise constituency events in ten constituencies across the country. It also meant that their staff were able to freely volunteer their time to take the organisation’s impact to the next level by seeking to harness the full potential of the relationship an MP has with their constituency.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve had a several years of significant growth and development, opening their first two regional offices, running a five-part webinar series with 3,500 viewers, and tripling their staff team from 4 to 12. 2020 marked the beginning of a critical decade for climate action, presenting a need for them to expand their work and increase their reach.

Awarded year: 2018

Amount: £5000
