SMK Annual Campaigner Survey
It’s that time of the year again, where we ask campaigners and those working in social change to fill in the SMK Annual Campaigner Survey.
This is your survey. Make sure that your voice is part of the debate.
What has 2024 been like for you? The survey is open until Wednesday 15 January 2025. It should take about 15 minutes to complete.
Forces for good
The Charity Reform Group is calling for government, charities, and businesses to re-set their thinking and start treating one another as critical partners in the endeavour to build a better nation.
Building confident campaigning governance
– new offer for trustees
Our recent research with Governance & Leadership magazine found that support for campaigning amongst trustees is high, but levels of confidence do not match.
In response, SMK has produced a free short guide for trustees called Navigating charity campaigning that points to five essential conversations board should have to develop confident campaigning governance. It can be used alone, or as the starting point for a board conversation guided by SMK. Our one-hour or three-hour sessions will help boards explore campaign governance together.
Take the first step to building campaigning governance confidence in your organisation. Register your interest by emailing SMK Head of Programmes Kath Christie.
Changemakers’ Toolkit
With the support of Wikimedia UK, SMK has launched an open access toolkit to empower people to campaign effectively.
We know that campaigners, activists, and changemakers of all types are stepping up to address injustices, improve conditions in their communities, and draw attention to neglected issues. That’s why we’ve launched the Changemakers’ Toolkit, a free online training resource.
