The Campaign Carousel™ offers a new way to develop your campaigning skillset through a flexible online training programme tailored to your needs. It works for those who are new to campaigning or within the first three years of starting their campaigning journey.
The Campaign Carousel™ runs three times a year so you can jump on and jump off as and when suits you. It offers you a diverse range of workshops run by expert Associates who actively draw from their own campaigning practise and learning.
Within the year that you ride the Carousel, you can attend additional quarterly events to meet the community of campaigners on the Carousel with you.

Start with the basic building blocks
The Campaign Carousel™ foundation module offers you a grounding in the basics of campaigning through four core workshops. The four three-hour online workshops include Introduction to Campaigning and Social Change; Analysing the Problem and Planning for Change; Communicating for Change and Evaluating What Matters. You must take the Introduction to Campaigning and Social Change workshop first.
Build your own workshop series
From here, you can choose five further three-hour online workshops from amongst nine specialist topics offered. These diverse workshops allow you to delve deeper into key areas of interest to you. Workshop topics vary from specific skills such as digital campaigning and community organising, to broad approaches such as using the legal system to achieve change and building your resilience in challenging times.

Join our campaigning community
You’ll be invited to quarterly events including the Campaigns brunch with inspiring speakers and a chance to get to know past and present fellow riders, and regular Lunchtime Learning Exchanges where you can participate in campaigning conversations whilst eating your lunch.
Take part in mentoring
At the end of your Carousel journey, you’ll be invited to take part in a mentoring session to help you work through core challenges you face with SMK’s Head of Programmes or one of our expert Associates.
