Event Details
The aim of this three-hour online workshop is for participants to develop their understanding of how to work in communities, bringing people together on a local basis to achieve a common goal. This workshop will discuss how to develop community bonds, ensure people have the confidence to act and the tools to achieve their aims.
Participants will:
- Understand the principles of community organisation and how to apply them in practise
- Look at the tools others have used successfully to achieve change
- Hear about best practice and lessons from experienced community organisers.
Who is this workshop for?
- New community organisers seeking to understand best practice and how to share power and retain support.
- Those interested in the theory and practice of hyper-local organising.
- Those seeking to initiate organising and campaigning at a community level.
