Rachel Cain – Project Manager – The Social Change Project

Rachel joined SMK in 2017, having previously worked as a Senior Researcher at the Directory of Social Change, co-authoring publications including The Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need and The Guide to New Trusts. She also worked on DSC’s policy and campaigns activities, co-ordinating the Big Lottery Refund campaign.

Rachel worked with an MP to set up a project with schools in Liverpool, encouraging young people to aim high and improving access to Oxbridge universities. Rachel has a BA (Hons) in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford, where she was part of the successful Living Wage campaign and was also elected as a Charities Officer.

Rachel has volunteered with a range of organisations, from community groups in Liverpool to a befriending service in Denmark. She is particularly interested in politics and social policy.
